The Porcupine Rim Video

(updated: Aug 8, 2007)

Finally, I finished the Porcupine Rim video. This is actually just the trailer video for the DVD that will be coming out later. There's so much good footage that the DVD is the way to go. Only part I missed was the technical stuff toward the bottom because I ran out of tape. Just looking at the video on my computer screen makes me feel like I'm back in Moab.

There are a lot of videos of the Porcupine Rim Trail, about 36 or so on youtube alone, but I don't think any are in widescreen HD. I also grabbed some screenshots from the video. Pretty amazing camera. Soon they will be tiny so I'll be able to feel like I'm not wearing 5 lb dumbbells on my head.

(You'll need the latest Quicktime player, version 7. Get it here )

Riders Dave, Sir Launch, and Adam:

Technical enough for you?

If you go straight, you go bye bye:

Up above the traditional start of Porcupine Rim on the Kokopelli trail. Pay the shuttle guy an extra $5 he'll take you further up - it's worth it.

Coming down "The Notch". It's rideable.

More views on your way down. Rider: Adam.

Some lower singletrack action. Sir Launch in front tries to stuff himself between two boulders. Riders: Adam, Sir Launch.

Rider: Dave.

Rider: Sir Launch.

I can't believe this is a frame from a video camera.

Mind the edge:

Rider: Adam.

Rock narrowly misses Dave's derailleur.

Rider: Sir Toots on his big wheeled bike.
