Hall Ranch Video

(updated: Aug 6, 2007)

Hall Ranch is a gem of a trail nestled in the Colorado front range. Only about 30 min from Boulder, it makes a great after work loop. I guess it can get pretty crowded on the weekend with mountain bikers, trail runners, and other users. But it's got everything...technical rock gardens, switchbacks, fast smooth sections, wide open areas with views, and wooded parts.

I think there's around 12 miles of trails in the park but not all of it is open to bikes. They should open the rest of it to cyclists. The route we took is shaped like a lollipop, about 10 miles total.

I love the technical climbs of this trail. The goal is to try to clean these sections without dabbing - which I failed to do. I blame it on clipless pedals. I'd much rather have flats.

Did something a little different with this video. So check it out.

While I do have some bike specific socks and some dark socks, I buy only one kind of sock - white Nike socks. I grew tired of always trying to match pairs of socks, losing one of them, maybe the washing machine or dryer ate them. So I got rid of everything else and now all my socks are exactly the same. That way I don't need to waste my time and energy looking for socks.

...I'm not crazy.

I can vouch for the sock thing being easier. I can neither confirm nor deny the crazy thing, though....
