Another Great Pisgah Weekend - lots of pics

(updated: Nov 14, 2007)

We did some killer Pisgah riding this weekend. The scenery was amazing too, even though the trees had lost most of their leaves. And I have it all on film. But it will be a while before I put a video or two out because I have some catching up to do. So here's a few frames from the Sirbikesalot cam and there's also a write-up by Brado on his blog, Drinker with Riding Problem. Thanks for being our guide again. We'd be lost in the woods without you.

Les goes down the steep stair-step section at the end of North Slope Trail:

Ed on North Slope. The trees are really big here:

Nice steep turn:

First bridge:

Second tiny bridge:

Mark attempts the third bridge and takes a nasty header. Helmet, meet rock. The helmet cracked but he was ok:

That was a good five foot fall:

Beautiful trees on the way up to Spencer Gap:

Brad coming through some mountain laurel just before the junction where the downhill starts:

Ed going down the steep first section of downhill. The leaves covered all the loose babyheads and all you could do was hang on. Brad cleaned it on his rigid singlespeed 29er. Who da man?

Water crossing. One of many:

This trail was fast with some rocky sections covered by leaves. I had a hard time going down, bouncing all over the place. Later Ed pointed out that my rebound damping was turned all the way out on both shocks. Oops. Rider: Ed.

The Fall colors were still vibrant in areas:

What they are looking down at:

There was a big race going on so I snapped a couple of pics as the racers came flying by.

You rode right through the swank 65. I don't want to see any more Pisgah footage in Wilmington. I will look at it while I am in the mountains for Christmas.
