Thanksgiving Day Ride - Photos from Blue Clay

(updated: Jan 14, 2008)

I always like to ride on Thanksgiving. It's sort of a tradition. We lucked out this year as the weather was warm and dry with temps in the 70s. I rode three laps and hit the jump a few times and managed to snap a few pics. There were several people riding the trails for the first time which was great.

Parking lot. It was supposed to be gravel by now. I don't see any gravel yet.

Fall at Blue Clay:

Sir Launch on the rhythm section on his new 29er:

Sir Hikes-a-bike (or Breaks-a-bike judging by his recent stories):

Sir yet-to-be-named:

Terex - hey can we borrow some equipment and build a mountain here?

This is Wendy. Her bike has solid tires and weighs like 45lbs - I'm not kidding - and she did two laps and hit every technical trail feature on the way like a champ.

This is me trying to clear the double on the rhythm section. You need lots of speed and I need to lower my seat so I can suck up the lip more.

Sir Launch on take-off:

He clears it easy:

I live near rochester ny, our rides are getting fewer and far between due to rain and mud (we don't want to ruin trails) so keep us dreaming of better days.
Hope to ride in you neck of the woods soon!!
