Turkey Day ride at Blue Clay

(updated: Nov 27, 2008)

You couldn't ask for a better day. By the time I got to Blue Clay, the parking lot was nearly full. Folks were out riding the trails, and rolling around the pump track. Steve led the group ride at a furious pace, leaving no time for the technical trail features, so on the second lap we took our time to hit everything. Some good crashes with the photos to prove it. After that I hit the pump track, jumps and then the bigger stuff in the back. It was great to ride with a group again. I'm pretty sure everyone had a good time too.

Somehow I thought the group was leaving at 9 so I got there early and had a great solo ride. My skills however don't improve as much as when I ride with other riders. Is there a group riding early on Sunday?

Oh....I did see a blur go by as I was finishing up my 2nd lap which turned out to be Steve and John leading a group. It sounded like a train steaming through the woods!

Wow, wish I'd come. Woke up that morning and just didn't feel up too it. We should make group rides more often that more people can come to. Like in the daytime.
