Most diverse trail in Charlotte. Lots of climbing here. Tyler says 900 ft of climbing, I think there might be more. Three major climbs are "carpet trail", "goat hill", and climbing out of "toilet bowl." There are some smaller climbs that will have you grasping for air as well. I think the trail is now around 10 miles. I grew up in Charlotte and have been riding this trail since the mid 90s and have spent hours and hours help building it when I lived in Charlotte. One of the best trails in the state, especially for an urban area. Go ride this trail.

this would be considered one of the best cross country trials in the peidmont. 8.5 miles of very well designed single track with many nice features. three black diamond/ expert loops that are an excellent workout. over 900 feet of total elevation climb that will challange if attacked with speed. check www.tarheeltrailblazers.com website for trail closings as trailheads are locked during and after rainfall. the best climb is goat hill that rewards with a nice fast downhill. nice Catawba river views from main loop.
