Lake Crabtree Trails ~ Video ~

(updated: Mar 16, 2009)

Finally got around to making a new video. This footage was from a ride back in November last year. I still have a couple more rides from around then to work on.

These are trails in Lake Crabtree Park, a county park in the heart of Raleigh, NC. A well-managed park that Wake County has on their website. Interestingly, the Wake County tagline is Parks, Recreation & Open Space. New Hanover County's is just Parks. Open space? That's what they call wetlands here.

The video also has footage of some additional trails in the vicinity, including the steeply graded Rocky Road, which we rode last. I think we did about 22 miles or so. There's also a pump track, dirt jumps, skinnies, teeter-totter, log piles, and lots of unraked trails.

Some still images from the ride...

Rider: Steve.

Rider: Thomas.

Rider: Greg.

And a few from Rocky Road...

That's all for now.
