Runners Invade Blue Clay - Run for Ray
(updated: Mar 22, 2009)
Just a few photos from yesterday's Run for Ray even at Blue Clay. There were well over 200 people at the event who helped raised $4000 or so for the Underhill family and the Chordoma Foundation. It lasted from 7am to about 11am, at which point, the cyclists said, ok, that's enough, you've had your fun, don't make this a habit. All kidding aside, everyone seemed to have a really good time. Lots of kids out there supporting the cause too.
Where'd all these people come from? And no bikes?
With so many foreclosures these days, people are moving into the woods in droves
I vote that a water stop be a permanent fixture at the park. Then I don't have to carry those heavy water bottles which slow me down, never mind the extra 20lbs of flab.
The winner who did the 6.2 miles in about 39 min, which is faster than what a lot of folks on bikes can do. After the race, someone asked him about his training routine, and he said, "I run all day!!! ALL DAY!!! MUHAHAHHAHHAAA!!!!!
A mountain biker, caught red-handed at a running event. When confronted, he exclaimed, "It's not what it looks like! My bike was stolen. I forgot it." Uh huh.
Pack those trails down good!
Nobody fell off, or through, the bridges, thankfully.
Tons o' people
Now we're talking
First he surfs, then runs, then hits the pump track
This one's going to Dirt Rag, after I Photoshop a helmet on.
