Special mid-week update...log pile!

(updated: Mar 7, 2012)

Look at what the trail gods brought from the weekend's stormy weather. A free log pile. This is good mountain biking Karma. Ride it, or hell just take it to your own yard or trails before it's removed by trail weasels.

"Incredible!" said one rider named John as he smoked a jeffrey on his 29er.

"I'm so happy!" exclaimed Sir Bikes-a-lot as he rode over it.

"Wow, an actual log pile!" cried another rider named Scott Dave Bill who refused to be named.

It's the little things in life you treasure...

Did you include the root loop in that?

It was the race loop. I took the left at the bridge to go in the root section, but did not ride the part that does not get ridden much anymore. It is about 6miles.

No one fast knows their lap times.

I was racing with the"" trying to get a higher place in the rankings. I think there are about 21 riders competing at BC now with the best time of the race loop 27:30. All you have to do is download the app on a smart phone and when you go ride start lap and when you get finished stop lap and save. The app uploads to the site and knows what lap you have ridden. The start and stop is at the kiosk so the app will record your time at that point even though the app keeps running while you are in the parking lot.

It's a great day for mountain bikers when log piles fall from the sky! (Unless they land on top of you)

I knew it could not last, the trail bandits struck again and removed the log pile. To much fun was had and they had to put a stop to it. To protect us from ourselves for the better of the trail. They know whats best for us.

BTW I just did the race up at the Piranha Pit and there were no less than 4 log piles some you could go around others you had to ride and they were 2-3 feet high. Not sure why on a military base there can be log piles and every other trail in NC but BC trail rats shun them.
